New lamp...

The lamp that we got for the kitchen seems to be floating in the middle of the room when it's lit in the evening. It gives off this nice boho vibe that I really like. In other words I'm real happy with it :-)

The guest toilet...

So we have been waiting for what feels like ages for our guest toilet to get done and now it looks like the day has finally come! I am so happy with ther result. It's bright and airy and the tiles that we had done with this kids look grreat and will be a great way to remember how small they once were :-)

The tiles that we choose are Moroccan ones from Marrakech Design and I just love them! Fun but not circus fun which I tend to go for. These are a little more suttle.

New pillows in the living room

So I got new pillows for the sofa in the living room. Yes, I know it's a disease, I shop pillow cases like most women shop handbags and shoes :-) This time however, I went for a new style - more contemporary. Going outside my comfort zone with a graphic look and I must say they look great! I'm so happy. Also, who would've thought I ever go for anything black! :-)

This one is probably my favorite as it has so much humour

Going for a more graphic look is so not me but it looks very fresh.

Changed the lamp shades to the red ones now that autumn is here. Yes! I change shades depending on season :-)

New chest of drawers for the sons room

I instantly fell in love with this chest of drawers when I found it for sale online. A familly was moving to a new house and wanted to sell as much as possible of their old stuff. Best thing was that I got it really CHEAP!

It will look great in our sons room and so much more fun than the one I had planned to buy at IKEA.

New carpet in bedroom

So the carpet that I had to have from IKEA has landed in the bedroom, where it actually works really well.

Flowers of the week...

...a new center piece takes its place on the kitchen table and the shadows from the basket is casting shadows on the table that are just as beautiful as the flowers. Very decorative!

trying to decide on a carpet...

So far I found these on www.rugvista.se but they are machine made so not much craftmanship behind these things. Then again the kids will be rolling around and playing on them, so I might be better off buying a cheap one this time around and invest in a more exclusive one once they are bigger.

Autumn brings lovely warm and rich colors...

...and yesterday I was tempted to do a flower arrangement after laying my hands on these gorgeous Dahlias at the flower market in Denmark. Now I love working with oasis, so this is a typical Charlotte center piece if I get to choose one. It is a color explosion, just the way I like it!

Were I get a lot of inspiration...

Anna Spiros work is where I keep coming back for inspiration. My only problem is that I don't live in Australia and therefore have trouble incorporating her designs in my own home. I wish I had a boutique like her's where I could go and shop inspiration and a piece or two when I could afford it :-) Now I only get to Dream of owning one of her signiture pieces.

Here are some inspirational pics from her blog www.absolutelybeautifulthings.blogspot.com

Favorite things...

...right now....my....
Bestlite lamps in the kitchen...

...my hydrangea in the entrance...

...coffee and müslie container...

...and last but not least, plates and bowls from anthropologie in UK

The sofa...

...is well visited, probably the most popular place to hang in the house at the moment. The saris look great and protects it from the kids greasy fingers and dirty summer feet.

Catch of the day :-)

My fave horse look great in the china cabinet

Tiles for the guest toilet...

We are mixing in hand made tiles in the guest bathroom. We did some prints of the kids feet and hands and thought it would be nice to place them in the floor that we are doing in the toilet as a memory.

The finished result. To see what they look like in Place you have to wait.:-)

Some pics from the new kitchen...

enjoy! (I do everyday :-)

With an armchair in place...

The dining area by the french doors, love absolutely L-O-V-E the light!

Yeah, and I placed some kids in this pic :-)

The new cabinet...

...is Beautiful and I must admit I have a Little love affair going on with it :-) It's sooo pretty :-)

The painted door...

So I asked the painter to paint one of the doors in the kitchen in a grey and pink color. I wanted to do something crazy in all the Whites (the kitching is White, the walls are White, the floor is an oak floor that is pigmented White), so time for a dose of color. This is the result:

oh yes, and I have choosen this Marroccan tile for the staircase.

A collage for my son...

...my son on his birthday. Can't believe he is turning two already. Time flies! I'vee been so inactive on the blog that I suspect no one is following it anymore. If there is anyone who visits please let me know or I'll stop posting :-)

I have started a new job which keeps me busy. Also we're in the middle or almost at the end of a big  renovation of our house. There is practically not a wall or a piece of floor that have not been touched by a builders hand :-) So far we are super happy with the result and can't wait to move in, just in time for our summer holiday. Maybe I'll post a pic or two, the before and after result. If not for you than as a memory for myself in the years to come.

We have already gotten so used to the new floor disposition that we can't believe it hasen't always  looked like this. It's sad when you think about how much money you spend on the whole thing and a couple of weeks later you've practically forgotten what it used to look like.

The renovation is messing with my mind and my sleep as I can't turn of the explosion of ideas that I keep getting. There are so many cool things you can do, and I want to do them all now that I have a chance. Also I have a hard time deciding what I want. There's so many styles that I'm appealed by and would like to try. The only thing I know for sure is that I keep getting back to color and lots of it. I am trying to be a little more sofisticated or grow´n up in my choices this time (I don't want the house to look like a clown decorating it going nuts with the colors and patterns...I do like to mix it up and I easily go overboard :-)

I have decided to go for whites on walls and kitchen and mix it up with bright yellow (think Canarie bird) and turqouise or petroleum. I bought this carpet:
And these two saris that I ordered fron India came yesterday and I just love them! Are using them as sofa covers to protect them from my kids sticky, greasy fingers.

Also planning on buying this display cabinet from Oliver furniture which I'm totally smitten with:
